Get into the mix for fall

The fall 2015 fashion shows in Europe and New York again showed that for truly stylish men, the game is all about mixing. Start with a strong statement: Texture, rich color stories (maroons, cobalt, rusts), staples reinvented in new ways (the camel coat as the new/old outerwear), and ground it all with that well-made suit as the axis. But don't forget to look to the new: Performance cuts and fabrications, heritage knits updated with leather and that athleisure style that's here to stay have all become part of this season's melange. If you're looking for the ingredients for the fall mix, refer to the runways, but call us at AG. Whether you're shopping our seasonal RGBIV capsule collections or the Artful Gentleman main label, you can pick up the hottest trends for fall before the runway looks at other brands are in stores.

Cut and Color

Start with the suiting (as we usually do); we're got the relaxed but slim cuts popular from Milan to Manhattan and there's more than fifty shades of fall favorite grey in our books (sorry, E.L. James). A charcoal suit is a great canvas for a pop of vivid blue shirting or pairing any of the celebratory reds currently hot but don't neglect the lighter side of he spectrum. A foggy shade always looks right against the skies of San Francisco (or New York, or Shanghai).

Panes and Plaids

With windowpane plaids popular this spring and carrying over into winter a classic cut in this gridded favorite is a chic investment for every man. Plaids and checks in general had strong showings (a top of our hats to London) as well they should: They can be as strong or as subtle a statement as suits the man.

Touchability

If there's one thing American menswear is good at it's combining the luxury of brushed, corded and ultra-soft textures with the sturdiness of great men's outerwear. It's something we're especially proud of as a brand as well. If you're looking for your camel it-coat (or a shade of grey, or a pop of color) you've come to the right place. Pair one of our vintage corduroy coats with any of our luxe cashmere or go for the ROYGBIV motocoat for that leather combination that's everywhere for fall.
